About The Position

Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC) is seeking skilled, friendly, and energetic newly graduated Emergency Veterinarians for its new Saginaw location. EVCC is a rapidly growing group of emergency veterinary hospitals committed to expanding into and supporting communities that need 24/7 emergency care. As a veterinarian-led company, EVCC values DVM insight and leadership, fostering a collaborative, team-first environment. The new Saginaw location aims to provide exceptional, around-the-clock care. The position is part of a structured mentorship program designed for new graduates transitioning into emergency veterinary medicine, focusing on building confidence, developing critical ER skills, and providing full support. The mentorship experience is personalized to the individual's learning style, pace, and professional goals, with a flexible timeline and workflow. Months 1-4 involve exclusive scheduling with a core DVM mentor for hands-on guidance and foundational skills. Months 4-7 transition to overlapping shifts with other associate DVMs for collaborative learning and exposure to diverse cases. Months 7-12 include a mix of solo and overlapping shifts to foster independence, with continuous access to support from veterinarians at other EVCC locations. Progression decisions are made collaboratively between the mentee and mentor. The Saginaw location offers a community on the rise with opportunities for outdoor recreation and a vibrant local scene.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AVMA accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program
  • Possesses state veterinary license in good standing or eligible to obtain one
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
