You’ll be empowered to do your best work with a team you can count on. At VCA, the future of veterinary medicine is in our hands. We are a large, 24-hour hospital located in gorgeous Oahu! You’ll get to work alongside other emergency veterinarians, specialists and a Criticalist. Our specialty services include two internal medicine specialists, a surgeon, and an ophthalmologist and all hospitalized cases can be cared for 24/7. Our hospital is equipped with the latest veterinary technology, including diagnostic, therapeutic and monitoring toys that are needed to support you including an 8-slcie CT, DR, C-arm, telemetry, laparoscopic, endoscopic, thoracoscopic, and lithotripsy equipment. Hands-free radiology safety standards AAHA accredited.
Requirements
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent
- Licensure in good standing to practice in Hawaii state, or the ability to obtain
- A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a large, 24-hour hospital.
- Experience with specialty services including internal medicine, surgery, and ophthalmology.
- Familiarity with advanced veterinary technology such as CT, DR, C-arm, telemetry, laparoscopic, endoscopic, thoracoscopic, and lithotripsy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency veterinary care to small animals and exotics.
- Collaborate with other emergency veterinarians, specialists, and a Criticalist.
- Utilize advanced veterinary technology for diagnostics, therapeutics, and monitoring.
- Practice the highest standard of medicine and uphold the veterinary code of ethics.
