About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian for its dynamic team in Fresno, CA. The hospital is dedicated to delivering outstanding veterinary care with a compassionate heart, utilizing a fully equipped facility to handle emergency cases. They emphasize prompt, skillful, and compassionate care during pets' most vulnerable moments. BluePearl aims to enrich lives through exceptional pet care, fostering a passionate, knowledgeable, and talented team. Founded in 1996, BluePearl has grown to over 100 specialty and emergency hospitals nationwide and is committed to diversity and inclusion, providing a safe space for BIPOC and 2SLGBTQ+ individuals. The Fresno hospital, formerly Fresno Pet ER, is a busy, progressive veterinary emergency hospital in the San Joaquin Valley, practicing high-quality medicine and surgery for small animals. It features a full in-house diagnostic laboratory, digital radiology, ultrasound, and a well-equipped surgical suite, supported by an energetic, compassionate, and well-trained team. The Medical Director has over 25 years of experience in Emergency Medicine. The hospital also serves as the official vet for Fresno State's mascot, Victor E. Bulldog.

Requirements

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree.
  • Holding a valid state veterinary license.
  • An unwavering commitment to emergency care.
  • Self-directed, committed ongoing learner.
  • Must be driven to continuously improve and stay up to date with industry developments and dedicated to upholding the highest standards of quality.
  • Top-notch decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding analytical capacity, attention to detail, and follow through.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knack for multitasking and skillfully prioritizing in a high volume environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Google Apps for Work.
  • Experience with Cornerstone Practice Management software.
