Emergency Vehicle Technician (Fire Apparatuses)
About The Position
Vector Fleet Management, an Amerit Fleet Solutions Company, is seeking qualified Medium/Heavy Diesel and Emergency Vehicle Fire Truck Technicians (EVT) to support their customer’s fleet in the Carrollton, TX area. Vector Fleet has been in the fleet maintenance business for over 30 years, providing onsite, customized fleet maintenance solutions across the U.S. They pride themselves on their employees and offer a robust training and development program for technicians at every level. This role involves performing preventive and repair maintenance on diesel engines and emergency apparatus, specifically fire trucks and ambulances.
Requirements
- EVT Certification required - must be willing to get it within 6 months of hire, if you do not currently have an EVT
- 2+ years’ experience working on Fire trucks and/or ambulances
- Must have the ability to perform preventive and repair maintenance on diesel engines and emergency apparatus
- Technicians must own basic set of hand tools and wheeled toolbox suitable for daily use
- Must have acceptable driving record and pass drug test and background check
Nice To Haves
- ASE or OEM Certifications highly desirable
- Trade School Certificates a plus
- Willingness and ability to advance technical training and certification in emergency vehicle repair
