About The Position

The Emergency Department Technician is a member of the patient care team who performs a variety of tasks and activities to meet patient and department needs consistent with the scope of practice for an unlicensed practitioner. The Emergency Department Technician must manage multiple demands on his/her time to support the activity of the nursing staff, facilitate the timely flow of patients through the department, and assist with stocking to ensure that the department is ready to receive and treat patients at all times. Requirements

  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Experience in a health care setting performing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework/Training: Nursing student or Emergency Medical Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Military medical, EMS or Emergency Department experience.
