About The Position

Emergency Technicians to join our Emergency Department team at Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 12 hour day shifts. The Emergency Services Technician role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). These duties may include, but are not limited to ECGs, vital signs, monitoring, basic patient care and transportation. Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on the emergency department scope of service. Requirements

  • Certification as an EMT or completion of an accredited EMT course.
  • Demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a Corpsman or MD)
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework/Training Basic EKG course
  • Upon hire: California Emergency Medical Technician License
  • 1 year EMT experience.
  • 1 year Emergency Department experience.
