About The Position

Work Schedule : Part-time, 60% FTE day/evening shift position. Shifts are scheduled either 8 or 12 hour shifts between the hours of 11:00AM – 11:30PM, weekend rotation is required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Pay : UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. We are seeking an Emergency Technician - Paramedic to: Provide direct patient care as directed under the supervision of the RN, APP, Physician, and/or Medical Director. Assist clinical staff in the evaluation, treatment, and care of patients to include, but not limited to, obtaining pertinent patient history and assisting with physical examination, performing technical procedures as delegated. Monitor patients and maintain records, using patient monitoring equipment and electronic health records to document patient’s status, delivery of care, and evaluation of the patient’s response to care according to the specific procedures and established protocols.

Requirements

  • Current Paramedic Licensing Required
  • Current NREMT Paramedic certification
  • 6 months Of relevant experience in Emergency Departments, Hospitals, or other healthcare entities to include EMS Required
  • Paramedic license Required
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Required
  • ACLS certification Required

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year Of previous experience as Paramedic in the field (current/ongoing experience strongly preferred)
  • PALS certification Preferred
