About The Position

Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences LP is seeking an Emergency Spill Response Project Manager to join their remediation and emergency response team in Thunder Bay, Ontario. This full-time role involves managing projects related to transportation, residential fuel oil, and commercial chemical spills. The primary objectives are to mitigate loss, remediate sites, and support clients in closing their files efficiently and cost-effectively. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, self-motivated, and results-oriented professional with a university degree in Environmental Engineering or Geosciences, or a college diploma in Environmental Sciences or a related field, and a minimum of five years of experience in the environmental field.

Requirements

  • Degree in Science or Engineering (Environmental or Earth Sciences preferred) or related diploma with applicable experience
  • A minimum of five years’ experience within the environmental field
  • Experience in soil and groundwater remediation projects including delineation, monitoring and management
  • Experience with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned region
  • Flexible schedule; willingness to work after hours on weekends when required

Responsibilities

  • Emergency response activities including initial investigation, real time remedial planning, retaining, and managing sub-contractors, cost control, field supervision and documentation
  • Client and regulatory report preparation and liaising with regulators and other stakeholders
  • Client engagement and participation in business development activities
  • Managing projects typically related to transportation, residential fuel oil, and commercial chemical spills
  • Mitigating loss, remediation of the site, and supporting clients closing their files

Benefits

  • Compensation range: $80,300.00 - $111,500.00 annually
