About The Position

Child Saving Institute (CSI) is looking for someone who has a mind full of wonder and a heart-filled desire to make a difference! We’re on a mission to champion what’s best for each child and family. As a Shelter Supervisor , you’ll be an essential part of our Juvenile Justice Services team. Your responsibilities would include overseeing the day-to-day shelter operations, supervising Youth Care Specialists, ensuring licensing and accreditation compliance, and advocating for the youth in our care. In short, our Shelter Supervisor I will help create a structured, safe, and empowering environment for youth in crisis, while providing leadership and mentorship to the shelter team. Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field (required)
  • Are 21 years of age or older
  • Have at least two years of experience working with youth in crisis and their families
  • Are experienced in coordinating daily operations in a residential or shelter setting
  • Are comfortable working evenings, weekends, and on-call hours as needed
  • Reliable transportation that meets agency vehicle inspection requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 points.
  • Proof of insurance that meets agency requirements.
  • Completion of defensive driver training class within 1st week of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a licensed residential care facility
  • Background in facilitating team meetings and performance management
  • Experience collecting and using CQI data for program improvement
