About The Position

The Hours are as follows: Sunday, Monday and Thursday- 10pm-6am, Wednesday-8am-6pm The Counseling and Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) Department provides a continuum of essential services to the most vulnerable youth in our community, including two crisis nurseries, an emergency shelter, permanent and transitional housing, a food and clothing pantry, street outreach, and support for minor victims of commercial sexual exploitation. The emergency shelter team provides survival-support services to runaway and homeless youth 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, year-round. Staff engage and establish mutually respectful, trusting relationships with youth. Youth are approached from a strengths-based perspective. The goal is to provide emergency care and support to RHY in a safe, respectful environment and to work with them to resolve the issues that led to their homelessness so that they can ultimately secure and maintain a stable living environment. The Supervisor assists the Manager with oversight of operations and programming at The Center House, with special emphasis on the overnight shifts. Duties include assisting with supervision, training, and coaching of overnight staff; administrative assignments; facility management, and direct client care. This position is full-time at 38 hours per week and includes three overnight shifts and one day shift per week. Flexibility is required to provide supervision and training at least twice a month to overnight staff who work different shifts throughout the week.

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Services related field and minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience and 2 years experience working with adolescents, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities
