Requirements

  • ADN, Diploma or foreign equivalent
  • Two (2) years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty
  • Registered Nurse: AZ
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • American Heart Association ACLS
  • American Heart Association PALS

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a vital clinical leader within our Emergency Services department.
  • Oversee nursing unit activities, directing patient flow, and ensuring the highest standards of quality care are consistently met.
  • Leverage clinical expertise to mentor staff, manage critical situations, and optimize unit resources to provide life-saving emergency medical care.
  • Coordinate unit operations to facilitate timely, effective patient outcomes while providing direct clinical support to our patients.
  • Act as a primary resource for your team, mentoring staff on documentation, equipment usage, and the nursing process, while coaching them to refine their clinical skills.
  • Evaluate patient care, utilizing the Clinical Response Team (CRT) when necessary, and demonstrating exceptional critical thinking during high-pressure, emergent clinical situations.
  • Mentors others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG), and participation in inservice education.
  • Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department.
  • Ensures standard of care is maintained.
  • Coaches staff to improve care.
  • Evaluates care given by staff.
