About The Position
At Saint Francis Hospital, the ER Tech provides direct patient care in the Emergency Room and functions as an assistant to medical providers and licensed nurses. This role involves providing for the personal care, safety, nutrition, and elimination needs of patients. The technician will also perform specific procedures according to the patient's plan of care, assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers, and maintain a safe unit environment with adequate supplies and equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- EMT-B, Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant with acute care experience preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Ability to read, write, and speak English, and perform simple math calculations required
- Pass drug screening and background check
