About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to join our team in a bustling trauma center. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong clinical skills in acute care settings. Unit Overview: The Emergency Department has 56 beds, with hall beds bringing the total to 60-70 beds. There are 6 beds available for Fast Track capacity. The Triage Area has a separate area with 5 beds. There are 18 dedicated beds for inpatients awaiting placement in the Holding Area. The Psych/Seclusion Rooms include a locked hall with 6 private treatment rooms. The Daily Patient Volume is approximately 170-200 patients. Nurse Ratios are typically 1:3 for typical cases, and 1:4 for low acuity situations.

Requirements

• ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a larger trauma setting.
• Nursing license required.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
• Manage patient assessments, triage, and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, mid-level providers, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients and document changes in condition or response to treatments.
• Perform necessary procedures and interventions, including EKGs, as needed.
