About The Position

ServiceMaster Restoration Services is hiring an Emergency Response Technician to help homeowners and businesses recover from storms, flooding, and property damage. When a customer has a damaged roof, broken windows, or water inside their home, you will help protect their property and get their recovery started. Between emergency calls, you will work alongside our restoration team on regular projects. This role offers meaningful work helping people when they need it most, the opportunity to build valuable skills in emergency response and property restoration, and hands-on work at different properties. You will take on new challenges and see the difference your work makes, working with a team that values dependability, initiative, and pride in a job well done.

Requirements

Experience in roofing, construction, maintenance, restoration, or another hands-on trade
Comfortable using ladders and working at heights with proper training and safety equipment.
Able to perform physical work and work outdoors in changing weather.
A valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
Dependable attendance and a willingness to learn.
Availability for rotating evening and weekend emergency calls.
A professional attitude and respect for customers and their homes.

Nice To Haves

Roof tarping, board-up, and water extraction experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

Install temporary roof tarps to help prevent additional damage.
Board up damaged windows, doors, and other openings.
Perform emergency water extraction and set up drying equipment.
Assist with regular restoration projects, including demolition, cleaning, contents handling, and equipment removal.
Take photos and document completed work.
Keep company vehicles, tools, and supplies organized and ready.
Respond to emergency assignments through a rotating on call schedule.
