The Department of Building and General Services - Office of Safety & Security is seeking an Emergency Preparedness Specialist. This role will assist state office Safety Committees to establish, update, and refine Emergency Procedure Plans (EPP) to identify, prevent, mitigate, and respond to emergencies, risks, and hazards. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and have experience in emergency planning, making presentations, conducting training, and facilitating drills and exercises. Instructor certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable. Firefighting, EMT, law enforcement, emergency dispatching, or certain military experience is preferred but not required. Applicants must successfully complete a fingerprint-supported criminal background check prior to employment.
