About The Position

ZoomCare is seeking an Emergency Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Super! Super is a fast, affordable ER alternative. Staffed with board-certified emergency physicians and equipped with X-Ray, CT, and Ultrasound, Super can treat 80% of the reasons why adults and kids go to the Emergency Room. Working at Super offers a stress-free alternative to a traditional hospital ER. You’ll practice emergency medicine without all the distractions, no overnights or on-call required all while working a consistent schedule. You’ll see around 2 patients per hour and never have to work through a waiting room full of patients. Our patients love us because of our focused care, transparent pricing, and quick same-day appointments. The Emergency Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is responsible for delivering top-notch advanced clinical care and superior customer service through the ZoomCare care model. This includes delivering a consistent and high-quality ZoomCare experience to all patients using ZoomCare tools and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Physician Assistant: Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies with certification by the NCCPA.
  • Family Nurse Practitioner: Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • 2+ Years of full time Emergency Medicine experience as of their projected start date at ZoomCare. The 2+ years must be practicing as a full time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Emergency Medicine (may consider candidates with 1 year of formal academic emergency medicine training on a case-by-case basis).
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from a recognized and reputable organization (e.g., American Heart Association, Red Cross) or the ability to obtain one within 1 month of hire.
  • ACLS certified.
  • Vaccinated against COVID-19, Hepatitis B., MMR, PPD, Varicella (Chickenpox), and TD/TDAP.
  • Washington State Medical License for providers working in Washington or Oregon medical license for providers working in Oregon.
  • Medical providers must be eligible as a provider for Medicare or complete Medicare credentialing requirements prior to hire.
  • Must be able to demonstrate 2000 hours of work experience at the time of job offer.

Nice To Haves

  • Recent experience in an emergency medicine setting within the last 5 years, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform with expertise everyday procedures (e.g., suturing, digital blocks, vaccinations, splinting, wound care).
  • Excel as a clinician and master of ZoomCare's emergency scope of care in a quick-paced, focused environment (e.g., abdominal pain, chest pain, orthopedic injuries).
  • Complete charts and lab responsibilities (call backs/follow up) on a daily basis.
  • Be comfortable with adults, children and first trimester pregnant patients (no obstetrics).
  • Present oneself professionally in dress, language, demeanor.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues about clinical diagnosis, treatment and disposition planning, prices, insurance coverage basics, and the price impact of adding lab tests or selecting various medicines.
  • Be reliable, punctual, and able to work assigned shifts.
  • Display a high degree of compassion and care.
  • Perfect the art of the Perfect Visit to the delight of your patients, utilizing our white board for patient communication.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and know how to anticipate their concerns.
  • Deliver a consistent and high-quality ZoomCare experience to all patients using ZoomCare tools and methodologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
