About The Position

This role provides basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. The Emergency Multi-Care Tech obtains information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff and reports any changes in patient condition. The ability to react quickly in emergent situations is essential. This position requires a basic working knowledge of all unit functions and involves performing clerical duties, as well as maintaining and organizing necessary equipment and supplies. Duties may include scheduling appointments, compiling and copying medical charts, reports, and other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days and maintained throughout employment
• Must obtain department specific certifications within the designated time frame
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exhibits valuable time management skills
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as EMT, PCA, or completion of ‘fundamentals of nursing’ for nursing students
• Previous experience as Nurse Assistant

Responsibilities
