About The Position

The National Wound Physician Group is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a role focused on wound management in post-acute care settings. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and a strong work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities. Physicians will become experts in wound management, learning from highly qualified trainers and utilizing cutting-edge technologies. The practice involves bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states, with comprehensive physician-level wound management training and a wound fellowship provided. Physicians are W2 employees, earning an average of $300,000 per year plus benefits for a 30-hour work week, with part-time opportunities available. The role involves weekly wound rounds at Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals, with clinical documentation done in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. Paid training is provided during onboarding, along with a 6-month wound care fellowship. No work visa sponsorship is available.

Requirements

Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice.
Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals).
Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
Perform clinical documentation in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
Participate in a 6-month wound care fellowship.
