About The Position

This is a part-time Emergency Medicine Physician position in the Southwest Minnesota Region, specifically within the Mankato Practice Model. The role offers potential leadership opportunities early in one's career, flexible scheduling with monthly vacation and consecutive days off, and an equal sharing of shifts. The practice is part of Mayo Clinic's innovative approach to healthcare reform. The Mankato facility is a state-of-the-art, 26-bed integrated hospital with a multispecialty clinic, featuring 24/7 Mayo Clinic Helicopter service. It is a Level III Trauma center handling approximately 36,000 visits per year with an admit rate of 22%, seeing 1.5 patients per hour. Full specialty backup and physician double/triple coverage are available.

Requirements

Physician with expertise in Emergency Medicine.
Ability to work 1560 hours per year for 1 FTE.
Willingness to work in a Level III Trauma center.
Capacity to manage 1.5 patients per hour.
Ability to handle approximately 36,000 visits per year.
Willingness to work with a 22% admit rate.
Ability to work with physician double/triple coverage.
Must be able to utilize Mayo Clinic Helicopter service.
Must be able to work with full specialty backup.
