About The Position

MUSC Health is seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine physician to join our Midlands Division hospitals in Columbia, South Carolina and Camden, South Carolina. As part of the state’s only comprehensive academic health system, you’ll practice in a collaborative, well-resourced environment with strong clinical support and access to advanced technology. Our Emergency Medicine teams provide expert, timely treatment for a full spectrum of urgent and critical conditions, backed by skilled APPs, experienced nursing staff, and robust multi-specialty collaboration. MUSC Health's Midlands Division includes three hospitals: MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown (332-bed acute care hospital with a 16-bed ED), MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Northeast (75-bed hospital with a 14-bed ED), and MUSC Health Kershaw Medical Center (119-bed facility with a 15-bed ED). The Columbia Medical Center - Downtown functions as a tertiary care facility with subspecialty services, including neurosurgery, urology, and interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and more. Easy access to transfer to the main campus from the other Midlands facilities is available. Scheduling is done 2-3 months in advance to promote work-life balance.
