Emergency Medicine Physician in Peru/Ottawa, IL
About The Position
Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join the team at Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa & Peru, Illinois. This role involves working 12-hour shifts in a community hospital setting with a generous staffing model. The facilities offer 24/7 CT scan, Xray, and Sono availability. OSF HealthCare is an integrated health system with a significant presence in Illinois and Michigan, comprising multiple hospitals and colleges of nursing. OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center is a 97-bed acute care facility accredited by The Joint Commission, providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and diagnostic services. The medical center also has staff providing care at the OSF Center for Health in Streator, which includes a freestanding emergency center.
Requirements
- Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
- Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
- Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies).
- Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.

Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients.
- Work 12-hour shifts.

- Maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
- Meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
- Provide patient care aligned to the preferences, goals, and needs of the patients served.
