About The Position

We are seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to join a well-established, high-volume Emergency Department in the thriving Dallas metro area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ER physician looking for competitive compensation, strong Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support, and a collaborative work environment with state-of-the-art technology including Epic EMR. This emergency medicine physician role offers a permanent 1099 position with predictable scheduling in a busy ED serving nearly 35,000 annual visits. You'll work alongside a dedicated team of APPs providing coverage throughout the day and night shifts, allowing for efficient patient care and manageable workloads. The facility is located in a desirable suburban community just minutes from downtown Dallas, combining the benefits of urban accessibility with a family-friendly atmosphere.

Requirements

  • Board Certification: ABEM (American Board of Emergency Medicine) or AOBEM (American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine) certification required
  • Alternative Certification: Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM) Board Certification with a minimum of 2 years of recent hospital-based emergency room experience
  • Current Certifications: Active ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Medical License: Must be eligible for or hold an active Texas medical license
  • EMR Experience: Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making abilities in fast-paced emergency situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and healthcare teams

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages in a high-volume emergency department setting
  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions
  • Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver quality patient outcomes
  • Utilize Epic EMR system for accurate and efficient medical documentation
  • Perform emergency procedures including but not limited to intubations, central line placement, and laceration repairs
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and maintain professional development
  • Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, EMTALA regulations, and emergency medicine best practices

Benefits
