About The Position

WVU Medicine is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to practice at Jackson General Hospital. Jackson General Hospital has served patients in Jackson County and surrounding areas since 1964, providing quality healthcare. The Emergency Department offers acute care services 24/7 for patients of all ages, operating as a Level IV trauma center. They handle cardiac, respiratory, trauma, and general medicine issues, aiming for quick diagnosis, treatment, or transport.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible to obtain state medical license.
• Completed Emergency Medicine residency and/or a fellowship.
• Eligible for the American Board of Medical Specialties.
• Emergency Medicine Board Certification required.
• All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Practice in the primary location of Jackson General Hospital.
• Provide acute care services for patients of all ages in the Emergency Department.
• Diagnose and treat cardiac, respiratory, trauma, or general medicine issues.
• Ensure quick diagnosis, effective treatment, or timely transport for all patients.
