Requirements

Board Certification in Emergency Medicine
Graduate from an Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship
Ability to meet licensing and credentialing requirements for Delaware and Maryland

Focus Practice Designation in Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasound from American Board of Emergency Medicine preferred

Responsibilities

The Assistant Director will be the primary responsible party for developing, implementing, coordinating and advancing ultrasound education for non-emergency medicine physician groups.
In coordination with key stakeholders from non-emergency medicine educational programs and non-physician groups develop and implement educational curricula and training
Educate and mentor nurses, physician assistants, and residents in point-of-care ultrasound
Assist key stakeholders in maintenance and advancement of educational and performance improvement work for their programs
Develop, lead and implement the Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Program education including, but not limited to; lectures, hands on education, image quality assurance review, ultrasound peer review and feedback for emergency medicine providers
Serve as expert resource for fellows, residents, physicians, advanced practice clinicians and staff regarding Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasound including clinical support and mentoring of junior faculty, fellows and residents.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across a high-volume, high-acuity system
