About The Position

This role involves examining patients, performing comprehensive physical examinations, and compiling patient medical data, including health history and examination results. The position requires administering or ordering diagnostic tests (e.g., x-rays, EKGs, lab tests) and interpreting their results. Responsibilities include performing therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, and managing infections. The role also entails providing care for simple fractures, sprains, and strains to stabilize and restore musculoskeletal function. Developing and implementing patient management plans, recording progress notes, and assisting in the provision of continuity of care are key duties. Additionally, the position involves instructing and counseling patients on compliance with therapeutic regimens, family planning, emotional problems, and health maintenance.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited masters of nursing program or physician assistant program.
  • Meets the requirements determined by the State of Wisconsin to perform duties defined as those of a Nurse Practitioner of Physician Assistant.
  • Hold valid APRN or PA license in state of Wisconsin.
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification within 90 days.

  • Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
  • Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
