About The Position

The Advanced Practice Professional (APP) provides high-quality, patient-centered care as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the APP assesses, diagnoses, treats, and manages patients within their scope of practice and area of specialty. The APP is responsible for delivering evidence-based care, promoting positive patient outcomes, maintaining professional and regulatory standards, and supporting the clinical, educational, and operational goals of the department and organization. WVUHS and the Department of Emergency Medicine seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to practice at Princeton Community Hospital. This position is full-time. The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Emergency Medicine. In addition to providing comprehensive outpatient clinical care to patients in an emergency medicine capacity and establish preventive health practices for patients.

Requirements

• PA or NP degree.
• Eligible for state medical license.
• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing (for NP).
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers (for NP).
• Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania (for NP).
• CNOR Certification required (for NP).
• BLS Certification required.
• Bachelor’s Degree as Physician Assistant, or Master’s Degree as Physician Assistant required (for PA).
• Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant (PA) training program required (for PA).
• Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants required (for PA).
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the PA Board of Medicine (for PA).

Nice To Haves

• Emergency medicine/ Urgent care experience preferred.
• Additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.
