About The Position

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) PRN provides timely, high-quality emergency medical care and transportation for patients in a variety of setting. This role responds to emergency, assesses patient conditions, administers basic life support (BLS) interventions, and safely transports patients to appropriate medical facilities. The EMT PRN follows established protocols, maintains equipment and supplies, and ensures accurate, thorough documentation of all patient care activities.

  • Must not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
  • Must possess and maintain EMT License issued by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
  • Must possess and maintain throughout employment, American Heart Association certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and or American Red Cross certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
  • Must keep all knowledge and skills current through specific continued education as required by Oklahoma State Department of Health/EMS Division for renewing licensure.
  • Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations and maintains strict confidentiality of patient information.
