About The Position
ProgressiveHealth is seeking a proactive and driven Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide onsite response to emergency needs and care for employees at a large manufacturing facility in Smyrna, TN. This role is part of an innovative team dedicated to enhancing workplace safety and promoting employee well-being in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
- The required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure prior to the start of employment
- CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it prior to the start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s) prior to the start of employment
- The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout entire assigned shift
- A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
- The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
- Be able to maintain confidentiality
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Responsibilities
- Identifies and responds to medical emergencies according to on-site protocols
- Communicates and documents medical situations as per company policies
- Assists with miscellaneous calls and initiates incident reports
- Inspects and maintains EMS equipment, reporting any issues
- Manages inventory to ensure adequate supplies
- Conducts checks on site-wide medical equipment
- Monitors safety and reports issues to the Environment, Health, & Safety (EH) team
- Provides follow-up care for injuries within scope
- Conducts drug screens and surveillances as required
- Assists medical clinic staff as needed
- Maintains medical records securely
