About The Position
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) assists Paramedics in providing efficient, immediate care to patients in emergency and non-emergency situations. The EMT provides basic medical support—including CPR, AED use, ventilation, and hemorrhage control—to help stabilize patients. The role includes documenting all care provided under EMS direction and operating an ambulance in varied road conditions to transport patients safely to medical facilities. The position is with CoxHealth EMS in Ava, Missouri, and has varied hours on a rotating shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Missouri EMT license.
- Missouri residents must have a Missouri Class E driver's license.
- Non-Missouri residents must have a chauffeur’s license or an equivalent Class E license for their state upon hire.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to perform calmly and efficiently and make appropriate decisions rapidly under stress in emergency situations.
- Ability to work outdoors.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Familiarity with the age-specific needs of the patient population served.

- Previous EMT experience.
