About The Position

MedTrust, an MMT Ambulance Company, is hiring a part-time EMT in Hilton Head to provide interfacility ambulance patient transportation for healthcare partners. The role involves delivering competent patient care in various settings, administering basic life support within the EMT scope, and applying EMS procedures in practical situations. EMTs operate and maintain emergency vehicles, document information accurately in the charting system, and work professionally with healthcare personnel and fellow EMS providers. The position also involves maintaining equipment, cleanliness, and supplies while following company and local agency policies and protocols. Candidates should be prepared for the physical and emotional demands of ambulance work, including patient handling and extended time driving or riding in an ambulance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Current EMT certification.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, sit, kneel, and lift up to 125 lbs, and push or pull objects over 50 lbs.
• Physical agility for safe patient handling in demanding environments.
• Ability to tolerate extended periods of driving or riding in an ambulance.
• Ability to perform effectively in physically strenuous and emotionally challenging situations.
