This position is Friday - Tuesday 10pm - 6:30am. Description You will play a crucial role in supporting clients' recovery and self-sufficiency at our Sobering Center. As an EMT, you will help clients stay engaged in their journey to overcome addictions and reduce the risk of relapse by fostering shared understanding, respect, and mutual empowerment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must meet California EMT certification requirements, including completion of an approved EMT training program and passing the National Registry (NREMT) cognitive and psychomotor examinations.
  • New graduates or currently certified Medical Assistants are welcome.
  • Must have current CPR certification, adhering to California CPR guidelines.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures, in line with California regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as recognized across various careers in California.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical EMT certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provide comfort and compassion.
  • Check clients' vital signs and inform the Medical Director of any changes.
  • Help with medical procedures as instructed by the Medical Director.
  • Keep accurate and current medical records for each client.
  • Teach them about health-related topics.
  • Work with other healthcare team members to provide complete care.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling during clients' recovery.
  • Link clients to community resources and support services.
  • Collaborate with social workers to create and implement care plans.
  • Assist in crisis intervention and resolve conflicts when needed.
  • Step into a dynamic role where you’ll tackle diverse tasks, contribute to innovative projects, and continuously grow and adapt to make a meaningful impact.
