About The Position
Under AHN Prehospital Care Services, Canonsburg Ambulance provides emergency and non-emergency care to Washington County, PA. We are seeking candidates interested in rural, community based EMS. This position is part of Union PPFFA - F. $2,000.00 sign-on bonus with a one-year commitment for eligible candidates.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PA EMT certification or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at the EMT level
Nice To Haves
- Six months’ experience in the field of prehospital care.
- ITLS/PHTLS, ABLS, ASLS.
Responsibilities
- Determines nature and extent of illness or injury; provide basic life support and transport to the critically ill and injured in the prehospital setting. (50%)
- Drives emergency vehicle. (20%)
- Completes required documentation according to regulatory standards. (15%)
- Maintains equipment and inventory of supplies including BLS and ALS and has accountability for medications on every EMS unit per regulatory standards. (15%)
- Performs other duties as assigned or required
