About The Position

Geisinger EMT's now have NEW starting rates! We are also offering a $5,000 bonus to those who qualify! This role involves examining and evaluating patients to determine necessary care, providing emergency care using appropriate techniques and equipment, and administering basic life support. Responsibilities include gathering patient data, documenting patient information, condition, and treatment, and maintaining patient confidentiality while respecting patient rights. The EMT will transport patients according to policies, maintain a safe and clean environment, and operate the ambulance in compliance with safety policies and laws. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment, and the EMT is accountable for job-specific obligations and organizational policies. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• Basic Life Support Certification
• Certified Emergency Medical Technician - State of Pennsylvania
• Emergency Medical Services Vehicle Operator
• Valid Driver's License
• Communication skills
• Preceptor Skills
• Teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care.
• Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Provide basic life support and gather patient data.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights.
• Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Operate and drive ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws.
• Satisfy all job specific obligations and comply with all organization policies and procedures.
