About The Position

The Transfer-Only EMT provides safe, efficient, and professional medical transportation for non-emergency patients to and from St. Vincent’s Medical Center and affiliated facilities in the Bridgeport region. The role focuses on interfacility transfers, hospital discharges, scheduled appointments, and medical transport between healthcare providers. The EMT delivers high-quality patient care and customer service while complying with state protocols, hospital policies, and EMS standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current State of Connecticut EMT certification in good standing.
• Valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and professional non-emergency medical transportation.
• Transport patients to and from St. Vincent’s Medical Center and affiliated facilities in the Bridgeport region.
• Perform interfacility transfers, hospital discharges, scheduled appointment transportation, and medical transport between healthcare providers.
• Provide high-quality patient care and customer service.
• Maintain compliance with state protocols, hospital policies, and EMS standards.
