About The Position

Working under the direction of a paramedic, senior paramedic, critical care paramedic or alone assumes the responsibility for assessing, stabilizing and transporting sick and injured patients. The EMT will administer appropriate patient care within current SCDHEC EMS regulations. Roper St. Francis Healthcare is lauded as one the best places to work in healthcare. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as EMT-B, EMT-I or Advanced AEMT in South Carolina or National Registry required.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider.
  • Valid, current South Carolina driver's license.
  • Insurable under the Roper St. Francis Healthcare vehicle insurance plan, which will be verified by reviewing licensure and driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 6 months experience as an EMT preferred.
  • Instructor in BLS and/or BTLS preferred.

Responsibilities
