About The Position

Geisinger EMT's now have NEW starting rates! We are also offering a $5,000 bonus to those who qualify! This role involves examining and evaluating patients to determine necessary care, providing emergency care using appropriate techniques and equipment, and delivering basic life support while gathering patient data. Responsibilities include documenting patient information, condition, and treatment, maintaining patient confidentiality and rights, and transporting patients according to policies. The EMT will also maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment, operate and drive the ambulance safely, and perform all job-specific obligations in compliance with organizational policies. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• Basic Life Support Certification
• Certified Emergency Medical Technician - State of Pennsylvania
• Emergency Medical Services Vehicle Operator
• Valid Driver's License
• Communication skills
• Preceptor Skills
• Teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care.
• Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Provide basic life support and gather patient data.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights.
• Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Operate and drive ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws.
