About The Position

Harris EMT is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for a PRN position. This role involves responding to emergency and non-emergency situations, providing advanced and basic life support care to the ill and injured, and ensuring assigned units are properly equipped and stocked. The EMT will also be responsible for schedules and coverage when other personnel are unavailable. Shift work requires a mixture of days, nights, and twenty-four-hour coverage. The area of operation includes patients' houses, infrastructures, hospitals, and long-term care facilities. Duties may be modified to meet changing needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Current EMT Certification, National Registry Preferred.
• AHA, ARC, ASHI/HSI CPR

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
• One year EMT experience, preferred

Responsibilities

• Respond, treat, and react quickly and calmly to emergency and non-emergency situations to provide efficient and immediate, advanced and basic life support, care to the ill and injured.
• Ensure that during a shift that the assigned unit is properly equipped, stocked, and prepared to respond to a single or multiple patient incidents.
• Be responsible for schedules and coverage if other personnel are not available to cover a shift.
• Perform job functions utilizing the principles of “Standard Work”.
• Participate in improvement teams and follow established channels for process improvement ideas.
