We are not fire-based and do not provide routine facility transports, meaning there are no firefighting duties. You will focus exclusively on emergency medical response. Our 24/72 shift schedule provides extended recovery and personal time. We offer competitive compensation, including salary, benefits, and paid holidays, along with high-quality resources such as modern equipment, professional uniforms, and body armor. Our balanced call volume of approximately 21,000 calls annually with 11 frontline ambulances and 5 Quick Response Vehicles (QRVs) supports better call distribution, less fatigue, and higher quality patient care compared to larger systems. We understand the challenges EMS personnel face in dual-response or transport-heavy systems. At Beaufort County EMS, we’ve built a structure that allows you to focus on what you do best—delivering exceptional pre-hospital care.
