The Emergency Medical Services Manager is responsible for managing the Zoo’s Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program and on-site medical operations to ensure timely, effective, and professional care for guests, staff, and contractors. This role serves as the designated FRO Responsible Party, ensuring compliance with all applicable Texas DSHS EMS/FRO requirements, organizational standards, and patient confidentiality practices. The position leads all aspects of first aid station operations, including staffing, training, equipment readiness, and clinical quality, while coordinating closely with the medical director and internal departments. The goal is to maintain a high-performing, compliant, and responsive medical program that supports operational excellence, mitigates risk, and enhances the overall safety of the Zoo environment.
