Colorado Mountain College (CMC) is seeking an experienced EMS professional and dynamic educator to be the lead instructor in the Emergency Medical Technician Basic Program for the Aspen and Carbondale campuses. This full-time faculty position begins in August 2026 with a 30-credit hour (170-day contract) teaching load annually. Primary teaching duties include EMT-B, EMT-B Refresher, and IV/IO therapy, with potential expansion to Advanced EMT, Paramedic EMT Labs and/or Refreshers, and related classes. The successful candidate will foster partnerships with local employers such as hospitals, health care agencies, and ski areas. As lead faculty, responsibilities include facilitating the recruiting, training, and scheduling of EMT Skills Assistant staff and Adjunct faculty. This role also involves maintaining and purchasing supplies, coordinating testing and state-required documentation, assisting in the collection of student records for clinical experiences, and identifying local clinical partnership opportunities. With reassignment time, this position serves as a campus Program Lead with curricular oversight in coordination with the Dean of Allied Health, Public Safety, and Outdoor Studies, and acts as the faculty leader and reporting liaison to the Associate Dean of Public Safety Programs.
