About The Position

Sinai Residences seeks a service-driven, professional EMR who is responsible for servicing this Community. The EMR will render emergency medical care based on assessment findings using a limited amount of equipment. Care may include opening and maintaining an airway, ventilating patients, administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation, administering oxygen, and providing emergency medical care of simple and multiple system trauma such as controlling hemorrhage, bandaging wounds, and manually stabilizing injured extremities. The role also addresses general medical complaints, altered mental status, seizures, environmental emergencies, behavioral emergencies, and psychological crises. The EMR must identify the mechanism of injury or nature of illness, the total number of patients, and request additional help if necessary. They must determine when additional support is needed and act accordingly, conduct post-call activities, and function within the scope of care defined by state, regional, and local regulatory agencies. Compliance with regulations on the handling of the deceased, protection of property, and evidence at the scene while awaiting additional EMS resources is also required.

Requirements

  • Driver's License
  • Must hold an active EMT/EMR or Paramedic certification
  • Ability to function in uncommon situations while remaining calm
  • Able to apply basic knowledge of stress response and methods to ensure personal well-being
  • Ability to apply principles of body substance isolation
  • Ability to apply basic medical-legal principles as they pertain to the EMR role
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work well with many people and adapt to diverse situations
  • Ability to maintain a professional work environment
  • Minimum of 6 months experience
