The role involves creating protocols for acquiring, analyzing, and disseminating hazard or disaster information to state, local, and federal emergency response officials. Responsibilities include coordinating notifications and responses, developing analyses on disasters and potential hazards, collecting and analyzing disaster information from various resources, and monitoring informational databases to assess the impact of emergencies. The officer will collect disaster information via multiple communication mediums and disseminate situational awareness reports for the State of Ohio.
