About The Position
Sentara is hiring an Emergency Department Technician for Sentara Belleharbour. This position works the Second (Evenings) shift from 11 AM to 11 PM. Sentara BelleHarbour is a state-of-the-art outpatient medical center located in North Suffolk, offering a range of services including family medicine, specialty care, physical therapy, lab and imaging, outpatient surgery, and 24-hour emergency care. Requirements
- HS Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire for all incumbents.
- New incumbents must have one of the following in addition to the minimum Education: 1. EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR 2. Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR 3. Current student enrolled in clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy) having completed at least one semester within the program.
- Candidates with prior employment in the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years will also be considered in lieu of the 3 criteria above.
- One year of previous healthcare experience (Required)
