About The Position

Sentara Obici Hospital, located in Suffolk, Virginia, is hiring an Emergency Room Tech to join our team. This is a Full Time Night shift position, 7P - 7A. The Emergency Room Tech will assist the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients, and perform patient procedures and treatments under their supervision. In this role, you are an integral part of the Emergency Department Team. The unit is a 37-bed unit, including a dedicated 5-bed Behavioral Health Safe Suite, and sees approximately 53,000 visits per year (around 150 per day). Sentara Obici Hospital is a 175-bed state-of-the-art facility recognized as an accredited Primary Stroke Center and a Magnet hospital for nursing excellence. Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR Current student enrolled in clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy), having completed at least one semester within the program OR Prior employment in the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire
