About The Position

HSHS St. Vincent Hospital is seeking an ED Tech to join our Emergency Department (ED). Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge in a fast-paced environment with complex acuities. The Emergency Department (ED) is a critical part of the hospital, providing immediate care to patients with urgent medical needs. As an ED Tech, you will play a vital role in supporting the nursing staff and ensuring efficient patient care delivery in this dynamic setting. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or related vocational training is required.
  • 6 months of experience in an acute setting patient care role is required.
  • EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, EMT-Paramedic, active enrollment in EMT Paramedic program with IV training completion or CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) certification is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months of experience in emergency trauma care is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing support in the Emergency Department.
  • Assist with patient care in a fast-paced environment with complex acuities.
  • Apply clinical knowledge to patient care.
