About The Position
The Emergency Department (ED) Technician serves as a vital link to efficient, well-organized operations in the ED. This role supports both patients and clinical staff by assisting with patient care, performing medication reconciliation, and maintaining departmental workflow. The ED Technician must demonstrate flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to perform physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding work in a high-stress environment.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
- High School diploma equivalence OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
- State Pharmacy Technician Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) must be obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
- Must have basic computer skills.
