About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Technician/EMT to join our highly committed and dynamic Emergency Services team. This role plays a direct part in saving lives by serving patients in a safe environment promoting long-term recovery. The Emergency Department Technician is expected to perform with a high degree of clinical and professional aptitude while helping deliver patient care as part of a professional multidisciplinary team. The Emergency Services department is a Level II ACS-verified Trauma Center, a high-energy, patient-centered environment with 45 total patient exam rooms, including urgent care, resuscitation/trauma/critical care rooms, and dedicated Behavioral Health rooms. The department serves all patient populations from infancy to the elderly and offers 24-hour access to laboratory, X-ray, and surgical services. It is also a Stroke Center with 24/7 neuro-interventional capabilities and a Chest Pain Center with 24/7 interventional cardiac catheterization lab capabilities. The department is a 2023 Emergency Nurses Association Lantern Award recipient, recognized for excellence.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalency
National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (NREMT) or Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B)
Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers

Nice To Haves

Prior work experience in an emergency or pre-hospital setting is strongly preferred
