About The Position

Works with interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality compassionate care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department. Performs activities which assist the patient in meeting basic human needs and activities of daily living, providing basic patient care to patients under the direction of the RN, LPN, Paramedic, mid-level provider, or physician. Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certification in Basic Life Support upon hire or receive certification within new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment.
• CPI-Advanced Physical Skills- receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment.
• At least one (1) recent year experience as an Emergency Medical Technician, Clinical Medical Assistant/Certified Nurse Assistant or at least one (1) current year patient care experience.
• Able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic personal computer skills.
• Capable of taking swift and efficient action, including patient restraint when responding to patient emergency codes.

Nice To Haves

• Previous ED or EMS experience highly preferred.
