About The Position

Works with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department. Performs activities that help patients meet basic human needs and activities of daily living, providing basic patient care under the direction of an RN, LPN, paramedic, mid-level provider, or physician. Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Basic Life Support certification upon hire, or obtain it during the new employee introductory orientation period, and maintain clinical competency during employment.
CPI-Advanced Physical Skills certification during the new employee introductory orientation period and maintenance of clinical competency during employment.
At least one recent year of experience as an Emergency Medical Technician, Clinical Medical Assistant, or Certified Nurse Assistant, or at least one current year of patient care experience.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Basic personal computer skills.
Capability to take swift and efficient action, including patient restraint when responding to patient emergency codes.
