About The Position

The Registered Nurse plays a vital role as an integral member of the patient care team, responsible for providing both direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process within all areas of the unit. This role encompasses assessing patients upon admission and throughout their stay, administering medications and therapies intravenously, providing patient education, and meticulously documenting all nursing care actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required
• At least 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting
• 1 year of critical care nursing experience required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Must not have been a previous employee.
• Travelers with any violations on their license or background will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments during admission and throughout their care.
• Administer IV medications, therapies, and blood transfusions as necessary.
• Educate patients and families on health management and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care actions and patient responses.
• Take on charge nurse and preceptor responsibilities when required.
